My Thanksgiving List

Where do I begin to list them all;
The things I am thankful for?
There is so many things to list;
I could write, and write some more.

I am thankful that I am in this country;
In this land, where I am free.
Where I can be whatever I choose;
And, especially to be me.

I am grateful for the family I have;
The ones still here with me.
And for the time I had with the others;
That have gone to Heaven to see.

I am thankful for my caring husband;
Who loves me with all his heart.
And for the beautiful sons I was given;
In whose lives, I'm a vital part.

I am thankful for the friends I have;
Such beautiful friends they are.
Friends that give of themselves so freely;
They 're the most "special" friends, by far.

I am thankful for the house I have;
For it keeps me safe and warm.
On cold and wintry days, it's here;
And protects me from all harm.

I am thankful that I have food to eat;
And at night, a pillow for my head.
And thankful that I can talk with God;
As I kneel to pray, before my bed.

My list could go on endlessly;
For I have truly been blessed.
I am thankful for all that I now have;
And for all I have ever possessed.
