"When Marriage Doesn't Work"
Sometimes in life it happens;
A marriage just doesn't work.
It can be for a number of reasons;
No one has to be a jerk.
It may be something very simple;
Maybe you just can't get along.
It doesn't mean it's all ones fault;
Not necessarily one person is wrong.
Maybe your lives have drifted apart;
It just wasn't meant to be.
Circumstances have taken place;
And now it's plain to see.
You're two different people now;
Over time you both have changed.
And for whatever reason it may be;
The love has no longer remained.
The best thing that you both can do;
Is to let your new lives begin.
Separate, and forge ahead;
This way, you both can win.
Try to come to a good agreement;
One that you both accept.
Try not to leave any hard feelings;
Feelings that you'll later regret.
Remember that once you were in love;
A love that you thought would last through time;
But remember that one thing is usually sure;
Sometimes such a love can be blind.
Be nice to each other and remain a friend;
If that's possible for you to do.
For once all has been said and done;
They'll always be a part of you.
