"I Miss You So"

I lay in bed so quietly;
As I listen to the rain.
It falls ever so gently down;
Across my window pane.

I lay alone, you are not here;
I feel so empty inside.
As the rain falls gently from above;
My tears I cannot hide.

I feel the lonliness in my heart;
It's like a soulful pain.
It goes through every part of me;
With every drop of rain.

I miss you more than words can say;
It hurts so deep within.
But I know that you are gone for good;
Never to be with me again.

If only this rain could wash away;
The hurt inside of me.
I'd open wide the window;
And let it cleanse me free!
