"My Lover And My Best Friend"

I know that I don't say it often;
Not as often as I should.
But I want you to know that I think it;
And I'd say it any way I could.

The day that you came into my life;
Was the day the sun shined down.
I got a warm and loving feeling;
It hugged me all around.

You became my instant friend;
And eventually my lover.
With you my world expanded;
So much you helped me discover.

You taught me what it means to love;
To give someone your all.
That you'd be there to pick me up;
If ever I happened to fall.

I trust you like nobody else;
I can tell you anything.
How do I begin to tell you;
The joy to my life, you bring.

Thank you so much for being mine;
And for making me your wife.
And for teaching me just what it means;
To love someone more than life!
