Our Internet Love

We met on our computers;
Known to some as cyber space.
From the moment that I found you;
I knew it was my place.

I felt it through the keyboard;
As the words came to my screen.
It was like I'd known you all along;
At least, that's how it seemed.

You reached out and touched my heart;
Across those many miles.
You always knew just what to say;
To bring out my grins and smiles.

At first it was a friendship;
And it gradually grew to more.
Now you are the best friend I have;
And our relationship, I adore.

Some people wonder how you can love;
A person that you've never met.
But, we know all about each other;
Thanks to the internet.

We talk to each other every day;
Which is more than some spouses do.
I trust you with my deepest thoughts;
And I know that you trust me, too.

In my heart, I know that we'll meet;
Sometime that day will come.
And soon thereafter, we'll say our vows;
And then we'll live as one.

Until that day, I'll meet you here;
To express our love online.
I know that in my heart of hearts;
It's a love to surpass all time.
