I Still Miss You
It seems like only yesterday;
When I was just thirteen.
Something happened in my life;
That could never have been forseen.
You were my big sister;
The best friend that I had.
You were the light in my lonely life;
Which made it not so bad.
Then you had to move away;
And suddenly you were gone.
I felt so empty on the inside;
So afraid and all alone.
You were nineteen back then;
And met a wonderful guy.
The love light followed you everywhere;
It lightened a darkened sky.
You became engaged to him;
And brought him home to meet us.
I was so very happy for you then;
For you were truly blessed.
Then one night the two of you;
Set out to come back home.
You were going to make your wedding plans;
Nevermore would you be alone.
The semi driver said it was your fault;
The sunlight got in your eyes.
You didn't see him coming head on;
As God took you home to the skies!
John was gone immediately;
Into the arms of death.
You were pulled from the twisted wreckage;
And gave your final breath.
That happend many years ago;
But I relive it again and again.
I miss you more than you'll ever know;
My big sister and my friend!!
