Silent Thief
Over the years I've watched you;
As silently you've crept;
Into the lives of innocent ones;
And done your deed of theft.
I've seen you take their spirit;
And twist it out of place.
And put a look of sadness;
Into every single face.
You take away their laughter;
And wiped away the grins.
And replaced it all with teardrops;
With you, hopelessness begins.
Eventually you may take their life;
It's the ultimate price they pay.
You're the silent thief working constantly;
Twenty four hours a day.
Everyday, you strike someone new;
You show no discrepancy.
I pray that someone finds a cure for you;
And the world will be Cancer free!!!
