I Want To Make A Mark
Sometimes I start to thinking;
And the thinking goes real deep.
I wonder if after I leave this place;
Will there be memories of me to keep?
Oh sure some people will miss me;
My family and some friends.
But I start thinking that they are all;
And that is where it ends.
I wish that I could leave a mark;
Something that will last.
That will make strangers think of me;
A long time after I've passed.
I guess it's not really important;
That strangers have stories to tell.
It's what I do while I am here;
And make sure I do it well.
It makes no matter after I've gone;
For I'll be in a better place.
Where "everyone" is remembered;
By the light of His true grace.
