"Bless The Children"
I ask you Lord, to bless the children;
All the children of the world.
Guide them with you're loving heart;
Meet them with your arms unfurled.
Watch over them, and protect them;
Keep them safe from harm.
When the cold is sneaking up on them;
Please help to keep them warm.
Protect the children who are in the war;
And are forced to hide away.
And don't know if their family will survive;
To see a newborn day.
Feed them when they cry in hunger;
And their tummies are in pain.
Keep them dry on stormy days;
When you open the skies with rain.
If they have no one to guide them;
Please show them the right way.
And if they have no home to go to;
Help them find a place to stay.
Watch over those in abusive homes;
Who's parents drink and fight.
The ones that are afraid to speak;
And afraid to sleep at night.
Bless each and every one of them;
No matter where they are.
Let them know they'll find your love;
Whether they are near or far.
I'm asking you to bless these children;
For some can't ask on their own.
They only go by what's taught to them;
By others that have grown.
Some are lucky to have adults;
That can teach them how to pray.
So they can ask you to bless them;
In their own little child-like way.
So, I am asking you for those that can't;
Those that don't know what to say.
Just watch over them and bless them;
In your very "special" way.
I know that this is a lot to ask;
Impossible for "one" to do.
But if anyone could do this;
The "One" that can, is YOU!
