"What Is Faith?"

I think Faith is different things,
Depending on who you are.
When you are a little child,
It can be wishing on a star.

To a Mother, about to give birth,
It can be great anticipation.
Faith will get her through the delivery,
And a healthy child for celebration.

For a soldier, far away from home,
Who's fighting war in a far off land.
Faith is that person that reaches out,
And offers a helping hand.

For the patient, in the hospital bed,
That's about to go under a knife.
Faith is knowing that God's watching over,
And will protect his precious life.

For a Father, giving away his daughter,
He walks down the aisle with tears on his face.
Faith is giving her to the young man there,
Who is about to take his place.

Faith has many different faces,
And will help us to achieve.
But the most important thing to know,
Is that faith is something to believe.
