No One Came
It was a cold and rainy morning;
It was in the month of May.
She was born to an unwed Mother;
No one came to her that day.
She was taken to an orphanage;
Where she spent most of her years.
Nobody ever adopted her;
No one came and saw her tears.
She was sent out on her own one day;
After she turned sixteen.
She really had no place to go;
No one came, and no one seen.
She became a child of the streets;
There was nowhere to call home.
In and out of shelters and jail;
No one came, she was alone.
Then one night this young girl died;
Her lifeless little body was found.
Alone and abandoned, abused and beaten;
No one came as they laid her in the ground.
