The Fourth of July

Every year we celebrate;
On the fourth of the month in July.
Did anyone ever stop and think;
Or really wonder why?

Why do we send up fireworks?
And watch the night displays?
And celebrate that day each year;
In many different ways?

We wear our colors proudly;
Our red and white and blue.
And show to all the world around;
To our United States, we're true!

We're proud of all she offers us;
Our freedom bells do ring.
And we join in glorious harmony;
"God Bless America" we sing!

Yes, I'm proud to be an American;
I have the freedom of comments to say.
I have the freedom to write what I want;
But most of all, the freedom to pray!

Happy 4th of July, and remember your "freedoms"!
