Our Freedoms
How very lucky we truly are;
To be living in the U.S.A.
What a heritage is in our past;
It's where I want to stay.
So much we have to be thankful for;
But mostly our freedoms shine.
Sometimes the freedoms we take for granted;
These freedoms are yours and mine.
The freedom to express ourselves;
In thought, and in what we speak.
And the freedom to defend our rights;
Where the strong hold up the weak.
Free to walk any street we choose;
And go anywhere we please.
To walk along a sandy beach;
And fell the freedoms breeze.
The freedom to watch, whatever we want;
On television, or on the screen.
The freedom to attend the church of our choice;
And not be afraid to be seen.
The freedom to go to school, if we choose;
And to try for any job that we can.
And it doesn't matter what job you want;
Or, if you're a woman, or a man.
Pregnant women have their own rights;
It's their right, to make a choice.
They can decide what to do with their babies;
It's their freedom, to have a voice.
We have the freedom, to be all we can;
And be whatever we want to be.
Basically what these freedoms offer us;
Is you can be you, and I can be me!
