If I Could....

If I could be just anyone;
And that wish was granted to me.
I wouldn't change a thing at all;
And I would still be me!

I am not rich with money or things;
And my looks are not the best.
But the riches I have that can't be counted;
Measure far above the rest!

I have a husband who loves me;
And two sons that I adore.
That right there would be enough;
But, yet I have much nore!

Countless friends are in my heart;
And each is special to me.
They may differ in little ways;
But their God's gift, you see.

I may not have my youth anymore;
And I have my aches and pains.
But over the years I needed these things;
To show my wisdom and my gains.

I've had my share of peaks and valleys;
The good times and the bad.
But I have to thank God everyday;
For the life that I have had.

I was given the resources to deal with times;
That were not the best, indeed;
And whenever things got difficult;
God gave me everything I would need.

My life has had it's ups and downs;
And I've seen it's many faces.
But if ever I was given a chance;
I wouldn't think of trading places.
