I Feel Your Pain
I know that you must hurt a lot;
I see it in your eyes.
The cuts you make upon yourelf;
You try to hide and disguise.
The pain must be so unbearable;
Your past must have been Hell;
If only I could say something;
That would help to make you well.
It hurts me so when you cut yourself;
In places nobody can see.
If only you would confide in someone;
That someone couuld be me.
I think I understand why you do it;
You have so much pain and strife.
All that you must have been through;
Throughout your lonely life.
The cuts you make on the outside;
Where you can watch them bleed.
But the real pain is hiding on the inside;
In there is your greatest need.
I know that the pain is deep within;
A place where nobody goes.
That's why you cut on the outside;
That's the only place it shows.
The cuts you put on your arms and legs;
Only enter your body so far.
But the cuts inside your soul I see;
Have left a permanent scar.
Maybe one day you'll trust someone;
And let them help you heal.
And then your heart will be free again;
And you'll begin to feel.
Hopefully you will feel things like love;
And trust that others do care.
And if that day ever comes for you;
Please know that I'll be there!!!!
