Feeling Colors
I had a thought the other day;
Of how certain colors would feel.
If you could actually touch them;
If they were alive, or real.
Take for example, the color blue;
If I felt it, would it be cold?
And if I touched the color black;
Would it feel wrinkled and old?
Would green feel like new grass in Spring?
Would gray feel like a kitten's fur?
I bet pink would feel so soft and warm;
Like Mother's skin, when I'm next to her.
Yellow would feel all warm and cozy;
While red would be burning hot.
But, I guess that maybe some of the colors;
Could feel like what they are not.
I say this, as I know how they look;
I've seen the colors, many colors that I find.
But, how would you describe a color;
To someone that is blind.
How very fortunate I truly am;
Because I have eyes that can see.
All the beautiful colors in the world;
That God has painted for me.
