Meeting My Internet Sister

We met online a few years back;
In a chat room we started to speak.
Little did I know back then;
That one day we would meet.

We talked for hours on end a lot;
About all kinds of things.
We talked about our families;
And different joys life brings.

We talked about our losses in life;
And things that made us sad.
And shared the things we have in common;
Some good things and some bad.

We talked of one day seeing each other;
And about how great that would be.
To finally meet each other face to face;
Wondering what we would see.

Well that day finally came at last;
She journeyed to my home.
I knew when I laid eyes on her;
I would never again be alone.

I ran to meet her as she walked toward me;
And I met her at my door.
We hugged as we met immediately;
I felt something I'd never felt before.

As soon as I put my arms about her;
I got a feeling in my heart.
As if she'd been a part of me all my life;
Right from the very start.

I know that we were meant to meet;
And God brought us together.
We are now best friends for life;
And soul sisters now and forever!
