A Little Girl Maybe???

I just want to say right up front;
That I am not complaining.
And you will see just what I mean;
In the verses that are remaining.

I was blessed with two wonderful sons;
And I love them both so much.
And raising them was a pleasure for me;
And my heart they truly touched.

I only thought it may have been nice;
To have been blessed with a little girl.
Some one to dress in frills and lace;
And perhaps long hair to curl?

At least I used to think that way;
Dreaming what it would've been like.
But with my luck, she would have rebelled;
And insisted on being called "Spike"!

She may have dyed her hair purple;
And pierced certain body parts.
Maybe even tattoos would be found on her;
And I bet they wouldn't be hearts!

Now that I think some more about it;
I've for sure made up my mind.
I am very happy with the sons I have;
Nothing better could I find!

So, if I ever think again;
On having little girls about.
Rush me to the hospital;
And have those thoughts cut out!

This was just a bit of humor to hopefully
brighten up some Mom's busy day!
(I still would have liked to have had a little girl.)
