Children Are Special People!

To me all children are special;
Each in their own way.
It may be how they look to others;
Or maybe what they say.

But each of them is special;
Each one of them unique.
If you look a little closer at them;
You may just catch a peek.

Some have eyes, but cannot see;
Some have ears, but cannot hear.
Some have fears of being alone;
And you want to hold them near.

But whatever makes them “special”;
It’s really plain to see.
That they are only human;
Just like you and me.

Some can melt you with their smile;
Some put a frown upon your face.
But then they'll wipe that frown away;
And a smiles put in it's place.

They are very "special" people;
Just smaller than you and me.
So treat them with a "special" love;
And a forever friend, they'll be!

Children are our future,
treat them with love and respect,
the way you would want to be treated!
