Time To Let Go

I thought that you would always be mine.
You're in my heat, till the end of time.
I thought that we'd always be together;
Not just for now, but until forever.

You were always there, right by my side.
I walked with you, beaming with pride.
Suddenly one day, it happened so fast.
You left me behind, I was part of your past.

All of a sudden, you found someone new.
Our time together, is now over and through.
It's difficult for me, to let you go.
You're part of me always, I want you to know.

I knew this day, would eventually come.
It's not easy for a Mother, to let go of her son!
