For My Brother
It's kind of hard for me to say;
What you have meant to me.
But I'll do my very best right here;
And then I hope you'll see.
You're just a little older than me;
But you've been there all along.
When we were growing up together;
You always seemed so strong.
You teased me a lot, and picked on me;
But that's cause you're my brother.
When I think back on the fun I had;
I wouldn't trade you for another.
If others tried to pick on me;
You stepped right up to bat.
You set them straight right then and there;
And let them know where it's at.
You're the only one that could tease me;
You're the only one with that right.
If anyone else dared try it;
They were in for a definate fight.
Even though we had other siblings;
I still felt the closest to you.
Maybe it's cause I followed you around;
I wanted to try the things that you do.
Even now, after we have grown;
In my life, you play a big part.
You'll always be in a little corner;
A little corner, of my heart.
