My Sister, My Friend
How can I ever tell you;
How much you mean to me?
You're not just my little sis;
You're my best friend, you see.
I hated leaving home after school;
And leaving you behind.
And even though I was far away;
You were always on my mind.
For a few years we were seperated;
And both went our own ways.
And I often thought about how you were;
Especially on lonely days.
Then circumstances changed for us;
And brought us back together.
And now I inted to stay close to you;
Not just now, but forever.
I can talk to you about anything;
I know you always care.
And if I need you for anything;
I call, and you are there.
We're so much alike we are;
Thinking of it, brings out grins.
We could not be closer;
Even if we were twins.
Maybe it's becasue we grew up together;
And needed each other so.
We were all each other had at home;
And then I had to go.
I felt guilty leaving you there;
To live with Mom and Dad alone.
But I had to go for my own welfare;
It was a house, and not a home.
But I know that you don't blame me;
And now were together again.
And I love you as I always have;
My sister, and my best freind!
Dedicated to Mary
