THANK YOU LITTLE GIRL

I want to thank that little girl:
The one inside of me.
I want to thank her for all she has done;
To help me to be me.

She was there when I was little;
And hiding from my Dad.
She kept me safe and talked to me;
When I was feeling sad.

She was there when noone else was;
She listened and kept me safe.
She hid with me under my covers;
And dried the tears upon my face.

She let me know that it was okay;
To feel what I kept inside.
She let me know that it was natural;
And my feelings shouldn’t hide.

She let me know that she is still here;
And she is always inside of me.
And this is just to thank her;
For finally setting me free!
